Love and Other Rugs does print.
Celebrating one year with a printed collection of essays, guides, and opinions on interiors.
Love and Other Rugs turns one this month, can you believe?
To celebrate, I am releasing a limited edition print volume—available to shop on my website (starting today for subscribers) and IRL at Casa Magazines in NYC tomorrow.
Dating, drinking, and design were the impetuses for starting these monthly writing installments one year ago—but what came from the project was bigger than I imagined. First, a writing practice—a muscle flex as I pursued writing as an art form and as a profession. This brought new metaphors, unfound ways to grieve, and learnings about the way you should (and shouldn’t) write about yourself and others on the internet.
Second, it brought me back to my first love: magazines.
And how could I forget New York, the first backdrop for this project—so many hot, capable women; so few emotionally ma men.
Much lihis newsletter project, the print edition is an experiment. Produced on large-format newsprint, the 48-page issue contains essays from the last year, lists of the best places to drink and shop in New York, and guides to cities across the world. As a bonus, the centerfold is a double-sided poster—art for art’s sake.
For those new here or those who have missed my monthly raves and rants, Love and Other Rugs will returning to its standard programming next month. In the meantime, grab your copy and see you on a coffee table or night stand soon.
